Ich zitiere mal ecfmg.org:

Applicants for ECFMG certification must also pass the following exams:

USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. Applicants register for these exams with ECFMG and take these exams worldwide at test centers of Prometric®, part of the Thomson Corporation. These are the same exams taken by graduates of U.S. and Canadian medical schools. More information and sample test materials for the USMLE are available on the USMLE website.

Test of English as a Foreign Language™ (TOEFL®). Applicants register for the TOEFL exam with the Educational Testing Service® (ETS®) and take the exam in Prometric test centers worldwide. For more information and application materials, visit the TOEFL website.

ECFMG Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA®). Applicants register for the CSA with ECFMG and take the CSA at one of ECFMG's test centers in the United States. For more information, refer to the CSA Candidate Orientation Manual.

Hier der Quell-Text:

Who will be required to take the clinical skills component of USMLE Step 2?

The clinical skills component of Step 2 will be introduced in mid-2004. The US and Canadian medical school class of 2005 will be the first, complete graduating class that will be required to take this examination. Along with all other current requirements, a passing performance on the clinical skills component of Step 2 will be a prerequisite for registering for Step 3. At its January 2003 meeting, the USMLE Composite Committee further refined these requirements, and its decision is reflected in the statement that follows:

In addition to meeting the current examination requirements to be eligible to register for Step 3 (i.e., passing Step 1 and passing the clinical knowledge component, which is the current version, of Step 2), students and graduates of LCME- or AOA-accredited medical schools must take and pass the clinical skills component of Step 2 if they: a) have graduation dates in 2005 or later, or b) have graduation dates prior to 2005 and have not passed the clinical knowledge component of Step 2 taken on or before June 30, 2005.
