MSKCC Elective for international visiting students:
Note: According to New York State Department of Health regulations, medical students whose medical education includes more than 12 weeks anywhere outside the country where their medical school is located are ineligible to participate in postgraduate training programs (residency and fellowship) in New York State if the medical school is not approved by the NYS Education Department for extended clerkships. A list of approved schools is available at http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/med/medforms.htm.

Hallo Leute,
in verschiedennen Kontinenten habe ich bereits mehr als 12 Wochen famuliert und PJ auch moechte ich auch im Ausland machen. Darum darf ich keine Weiterbildung in New York State? Man sollte soviel wie moeglich USCE(US Clinical Experience) sammeln, wenn man als IMG in den USA Facharztausbildung machen moechte und manche Residency programme verlangen 6 Monate bis 1 Jahr USCE. Wegen New York State Department of Health regulations stelle ich eine weitere Frage. Gehoert New York city politisch zu New York state?
Ich bin im vierten klinischen Semester und weiss nicht, ob ich Residendy oder Fellowship in den USA mache oder nicht. NY ist nicht unbedingt mein Ziel, aber die Stadt und der Staat sind IMG freudnlich nach NRMP.
