Hello , i am a medical student pursuing my 6th year MD education in Republic Of Georgia , i wish to continue my medical residency and work in Germany , i heard the rules in Germany are specific for each state .what is the appropriate terminology for "medical residency " in german ? could some one please explain me how to choose universities and how to apply ?
thanking you in advance..
Hello
The prerequisites (medical studies of 6 years, sufficient proficiency in German, clean criminal record etc.) are the same in every Bundesland with the Bundesärzteordnung (BÄO) being a federal law.
(Facharzt-)Weiterbildung
Universities are not responsible for the (post-graduate) FA-Weiterbildung. You can apply to whichever hospital you wish to work for. However, you need a medical licence, see my reply here.
Besides, for most job offerings, you have to prove that you have sufficient German language skills.
Hay hi and Thanks everybody. Finally i did it.
Since 2012 been in Germany and with approbation already started Residency.
