in the US (Fl), this is nothing out of the ordinary, saying: to increase ones English. There are some differences between the "Kings English" and the US English. In Florida f.e. theres no "headache", but a "head condition", or there is no "holiday", but a "vacation"......
... and a terrible accent :-peng
Sounds more like an accident :-D
Mh, I'd say one should stop translating German sentences but rather create English ones in the first place.
PS:Im not so good in English too, i just pretend to be;-)Obviously :-))
In the words of Loddar Maddäus: "My English is not so good, my German is better:"
In the words of Loddar Maddäus: "My English is not so good, my German is better:"
"No one learns you English like I!"
(Englisch mit Loddar :-)))

our "uncle" is very anxious about getting some skin cancer. So he is always looking where the sun stands. First time I saw him hurrying across the street to gain some shade was awesome. Just like a rabbit. I laughed my head off.:-dance

I think this has been obvious!
Since I write papers in English and give tutorials in English, too, I don't have any fear. :-wand

sure of being able to explain myself after the english course?
i don't know since i haven't spoken to anyone who took the course...but i thought the course should make it easier for famulaturen abroad...
well, i'll just have to find out next semester (:
Isn't "to explain oneself" more of a term for assuming responsibility after one messed something up? Like "Rede und Antwort stehen"? Just saying...
