stool softener I would translate with "Abführmittel"
stool = Stuhlgang
softener = Weichmacher

Bulking agent is something wich makes an other thing smooth
Bulking = Auflockerung
agent = Agens (chemisch) = Mittel

in context with 'stool softener' I'd translate it as 'Quellmittel'.
